Self & Solitude

To capture the sense of solitude and self, we’re drawn to photographs of textures, rocks, peaks, still water, places of reflection and meditative spaces. Mountain peaks help us “rise above” the routine, the pressure of the day-to-day, to a space of expanded vision, a sense of awe and peace. Juxtaposed, we can experience how “still waters run deep”.

May you have some “Sunday-like-time” in your every day … time for solitude, reflection, self-care and self-knowing.

Contemplation of beauty is the consolation of the world. The soul needs the slow absorbing of beauty just as plants long for the sun and the sea craves the moon.

(Cousineau, The Soul of the World)
